The deadline for receiving officials’ applications for the Fall, 2025 season is August 4, 2025.
Become a Soccer Official for Walker Recreation!
Becoming a soccer official for the Walker Recreation Department Youth Soccer Program is ideal for young adults and teens who have “aged out” of the program as players. It’s an opportunity to “give back” to the soccer program that they may have enjoyed for so many years as a player, plus an opportunity to earn a little extra money while establishing a work history and professional references for future employment.
Application Deadlines:
Applicants (including returning officials) should put in their applications when sign-ups start each season. Sign-ups for players have a typical 2-week deadline, but applications for officials are normally accepted until about five weeks before the season begins.
How and Where to Apply:
Applicants should first fill out and print the downloadable application, then apply in person at the Walker Ice and Fitness Center [map]. Returning officials need only complete and turn in the application sheet, but new officials need to come in and fill out an employee packet with tax forms and so forth.
