Game 1 in the Books

The difference one week can make.

After getting washed out with very heavy rains and that bone-chilling wind, Saturday’s weather was calm and the sun shined warmly on a crowd of happy families loving the game of soccer. It was an amazingly enjoyable day, and I hope everyone had fun and kept safe.

Thank-you to the Recreation Department and Public Works for providing such a wonderful activity and venue for our community, and especially thank-you coaches, for all your hard work getting your teams prepared, and getting the kids out there to play soccer. I’m very pleased with my staff of officials for all the hard work they put into preparation to work, and for the great job they all do when they rally out on Saturdays like they do. Let’s hope for this great weather to hold up for the rest of the season.
