Fall 2025 Parking Tips during Library Construction

Published: Sep 10, 2025 Revised: Sep 24, 2025

DO NOT DROP OFF NOR PICK UP PEDESTRIANS ALONG THE MAIN DRIVE AT FIELD 1. Use the designated parking areas for this.

Parking tips during library construction:

  • Safety is always more important than kicking off on time, so yield the right-of-way to pedestrians and be safe.
  • Traffic and parking may cause delays, so arrive early. Safely parking and walking to and from the fields may require extra time because you may have to search out parking spaces longer, and walk longer distances to reach your destination.
  • New entrance: A new entrance has been built directly in front of the courthouse, police, and fire stations. Once you enter off Remembrance Road, just drive straight on in. (See Figure 1.)
  • DO NOT DROP OFF NOR PICK UP PEDESTRIANS ALONG THE MAIN DRIVE AT FIELD 1. Traffic is going to be bad enough, not to have people dodging and zooming by to get around stopped cars. It’s not safe for pedestrians and vehicles. Note that persons with disabilities may require the use of driveway surfaces for assistive or mobility equipment, so again, yield to pedestrians and accommodate that. [details]
  • Children should be supervised and accompanied by a parent or a responsible adult at all times.
  • Field 1A (9-10 year olds): Visitors to field 1B have closer parking in front of the court/police/fire building, which is directly accessible with the new entrance.
  • Field 1B (11-13 year olds) and 2A (7-8 year olds): Visitors to fields 1B and 2A might like the “secret parking area” behind the bus parking. Because it’s only a smidge more of a hike and most people don’t even know it’s there, there’s usually plenty of available parking spaces there. There’s even extra bathrooms right here, too!
  • Fields 3 (ages 5-6) and 4 (age 4): You’ll be parking a half a mile away from all that construction (at Kenowa Hills Central Elementary off 3 Mile Road), so there should be no library construction mischief for you to deal with.
